Nine
Speedball's made the 600+ mile journey to Southeastern Kentucky & EVERYONE was amazed at the wonders we saw & the
things we encountered during our seven days of atving .
We saw all kinds of wildlife , which included elk, rattle snakes, copperhead snakes, black snakes, turkeys, quail, ruffled
grouse, toads, turtles, lizards, frogs, buzzards, owls, hawks, ground hogs & chipmonks.
We suffered numerous
equipment failures , wrecks, overheating problems , flat tires & other problems , BUT through it all we worked together
& with Austin's ATV Parts & Repairs help , we rode all week & had a BLAST! Can't thank Austin's enough for
the OUTSTANDING service & consideration he extended to our atv club!
He sold us parts & even lent us tools as Mike , Jason & I worked to replace the rear swingarm bearings on
my crippled Susuki Twin Peak's as he was closing shop on Friday afternoon.. Austin even took parts off another customer's
quad on Wednesday morning to get my quad fixed in time to let me ride my last scheduled day of riding on Thursday. NO
ONE else I know would have done the same!!!!! NO ONE!!!
Jason Cannon severly wrecked his new Polaris 525 Outlaw in less then one hour as he attempted to follow Steve
Loftis up an EXTREMELY knarly Trail # 23 . He spent the next two days & traveled over two hundred miles
in a vain attempt to locate the parts needed to make his wrecked quad trail worthy.
Steve Loftis's new 2007 Honda 700 Rincon suffered a ripped rear cvc joint boot & lost all lubricant & damaged the
cvc joint the next to last day.
Joe ripped his rear cvc boot as well , but duct tapped & sealed the boot before any damaged occured. Other damages suffered during a whole week of EXTREME atving ,included bent racks from roller
overs & collisions , bent mufflers, bent front bumpers , broken & cracked plastic .
Lisa the VP of the Daniel Boone Trailblazers ATV Club ( club LINK posted of front page of our website! ) treated
us like royalty & had RTM Diner provide a scrumptous buffet for the Speedball's after a hard day on the trail. UMMMMMMM
GOOD!!!!! Lisa even arranged a tour guide on Saturday named Arnold who really showed us some knarly trails & stream crossings.
We had such a great time together that Arnold treated us to a NIGHT RIDE on Sunday. YEHAAAAAAA! In fact we rode from
8:30am on Saturday till 1:30am on Monday !!!! FIFTEEN HOURS!! My AARP butt was TIRED!!!!
During our Great Adventure to Kentucky we found TWO new trail systems. One the Daniel Boone National Forest, maintained by
the Lisa's atv club & the other a LOCAL trail that seems to go FOREVER ! Guess WHERE we will be this October ????????
LOL! NO we won't tell you where this local trail is !!!! HE! HE!
MAYBE you can join us next time??????
