The Speedball's have a GRAND time as we head out across the mountains . YEHAAAAAAAA! The trails are in perfect condition & everyone is having a BLAST! From the moment we left the parking lot the pace has been a little crazy! HE! HE! As we head up & down mountain after mountain , squeals of delight fill the air & quad after quad is seen power sliding sideways at each turn as huge clouds of snow dust fill the crisp winter air.

Last weekend our atvs didn't have enough gas to make it to the " 901 Tavern " , so this time we slip down into St. Clair beside Matto Cycle & fill our quads with petro at the Texaco station & grab a cold soda.

After refueling we head across the highway & descend down the snowy trail towards one of our favorite places to visit. Before too long, YEHAAAAA's fill the air as quad after quad plunges into the deep & swift stream & scrambles up the icey & slick bank on the far side. DAMN THIS IS FUN!

We attempt to cross Rt. # 61 by Wendy's , but the traffic is CRAZY , so we retreat back across the mountain & head off towards Walmart & another Rt. #61 crossing. Once on the other side of Rt. # 61 we BLAST up & down trail after trail & the miles click off real fast! ( cont. )

EVERYBODY's A$$ gets puckered as we descend this KNARLY & boulder infested gulley , which is STEEP & each & every quad teeters back & forth as it rolls off of one large boulder after another.( cont. )

Mike & Eric get ready to relax & get some good chow at the " 901 Tavern " .

The " 901 Tavern " has really COOL stools made out of mag wheels from Nascar . Nascar stuff is hanging everywhere!

It's getting dark as we head East & look for a way around the HUGE ravine that blocks our route!

After feeding our faces & enjoying the warmth & comforts of the " 901 Tavern " we head out across the mountains towards Frackville & the sun begins to set as we cross mountain after mountain.

The trails become more & more virgin as we head deeper & DEEPER into the mountains in search of a new way to get back to Frackville. The 26" Dirt Devil's on my Susuki Twin Peak's 4x4 churn hard as it breaks trail for my fellow Speedball's.

As the last rays of sunshine duck behind the western horizon I spot familar turf & let out a BIG sigh of relief! OH BOY!!!! HOME TURF! Now Speedy can relax & just ride to RIDE & not worry about where we are?????

We blast down trail after trail & when we finally stop to catch our breath we somehow arrive at V-Force John's ! LOL! After refueling we BLAST back across the mountains & with six sets of headlights beaming across the frozen landscape we make short work of the last ten miles back to Inn 81.

After almost 100 miles & ALOT of new trails discovered & PERFECT trail conditions & speeds pretty intense at times , EVERYONE agrees that this is the BEST ride EVER!!!!!!!! NO QUESTION!!!!!! BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!! YEHAAAAAAA! Till next time this is your FEARLESS leader saying GOODNITE!!!!!!

SPEEDY RACER

The snow is very deep & NO ONE has accessed these trails , so the going is a little slow. The trail becomes very steep & knarly as we decend into the last valley before getting to the " 901 Tavern " .

We finally reach the bottom & everyone breaths a BIG sigh of relief! PHEWEEEEEEEEE! The last few miles to " 901 Tavern " go by fast & before too long we are feasting on good chow & chugging down an ice cold soda ! GOOD STUFF!

Richard, Randy , Mike & Eric enjoy the special atmosphere of the " 901 Tavern " & the COOL stools.

What a grand place to have lunch on a COLD day! The food is SUPERB!
