After Saturday's discovery of a new & RUGGED trail system north of St. Clair , the Speedball's make a bee line Sunday AM for this boulder & mud infested network of trails.It's a normal ride until we attempt to ascend the face of the first reservoir & access the trails eastward.

                 With two semi-experienced ladies & two sport quads , this could be TRICKY!!!! Page  relishes the task of taking the 650 Honda Rincon up & over & successfully conquers this boulder infested obstacle ! YEHAAAAAA! She SQUEALS with her new found success! Lisa is next & drops the hammer , BUT fails to heed my warning about WHERE to hit the face of the damn & ALMOST loses her quad to the sheer drop off just a foot or so away & averts near disaster as I SCREAM to " STOP , STOP , STOP ". With a hurt look on her face , I apologize for yelling so LOUD , but if I hadn't gotten her attention FAST , it would have been UGLY!!!!

         After a few futile attempts to scale the damn , Lisa dismounts & Jim straddles the sport quad & spins & slips & slides & wheelies the Warrior to the top of the embankment. Wheweeeeeeeee! A few minutes later the rest of the quads & Jim's 520 KTM dirt bike are safely on top of the damn & ready to continue our eastward trex across the Pocono mountains.

      After a short break we rattle up & over the far side & before too long arrive at the " Promised Land " of knarly , tight & technical trails. Will the ladies be up to the task at hand or will we have to turn around somewhere in the midst of this maze of kanrly trails???? WHO KNOWS , but we press forward ! It's not too long before it takes EVERYONE to get EVERYONE up & over some of the knarliest & boulder infested & muck filled pits we've encountered in a LONG time!

It takes TWO HOURS to go TWO miles through this wonderous maze of boulder infested & muck filled trails! PLUS the SEVERE off cambered climbs & descents require ALOT of help from everyone to get each & every quad & rider safely to the far side. By the time we finally escape this crazy series of obstacles , our GPS's have saved our bacon once again! HE! HE! With the sun behind the clouds & us going left , then right & up & down every 100 feet or so , it soon became impossible to know where the HECK we were???????? The trail split into so many side trails , that it numbed the senses after awhile.

Once back on our main trail & it being a half day ride , we head off towards Frackville . As we near the last CO-GEN we make a last minute detour a few miles north to the soft coal banks alongside I-81 to let the youngsters buzz up & down a few coal banks. Speedy & Lee both get frisky & successfully blast up a fairly steep coal bank & yell with glee at our success! HE! HE!

Jim & his 520KTM is bound & determined to show us that his dirt bike is really BAD & heads off for the knarliest & STEEPEST hill climbs . Everyone moves their quads from the upper lip of the coal banks in case Jim & his 520KTM dirt bike blasts to the top , BUT we need not worry about that today! LOL! AS you can see by the photo ABOVE right ! , Jim & his 520KTM dirt bike DID NOT conquer these hills TODAY! HE! HE!

With a big smile on everyone's face , we head off for the final leg of this atv adventure & BLAST the last few miles back to Motel 6! YEHAAAAAAAAA! DON'T want to leave NOTHING behind! VAROOOOOOOOM! Off we go!!!!!! About half way back , we spot Brian & his two kids having a nice family ride & enjoying the great weather. We stop for a second to say HI , but soon are blasting across the landscape in search of that LAST RUSH of excitement before having to load up & go home!

As the last Speedball rolls over into Motel 6's parking lot , squeals of delight & high fives are exchanged amongst these HAPPY atver's ! YEHAAAAAA! WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

After thanking everyone for their help & assistance during our Great Adventure today , I load up , shower this crusty & sweaty AARP atv body & head south on I-81 with tunes blaring from the speakers of the Speedball Express! Hope to see YOU next time!!!! Your AARP atv buddy!
